Understanding the Building Safety Act

The Building Safety Act (BSA) has far-reaching implications for everyone in construction.

This new legislation has been subject to ongoing evolution and misunderstanding within built environment forums. It’s critical our industry is exposed to the implications of the BSA and understands their responsibilities within the act to manage their business’ and contribute toward the provision of safer spaces, whilst demonstrating all buildings have been built safely.

In our BSA training courses, we discuss how relevant this act is to the improvement of best practice, formalising accountability with a clear line of evidence-based management.

Our full and half day training sessions are suitable for contractors, consultant designers, key supply chain members and clients.

The aim is to enlighten organisations with the core principles of the Act by testing existing knowledge and providing simple facts for forward business and construction management.

By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Building Safety Act (BSA)
  • Share awareness with colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors

Why we do what we do

Process planning and implementation with Cube has given us an independent evaluation, with top-level end-to-end oversight of the operational aspects, minimising risk and helping ensure our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Cube’s hands on practical and collaborative approach made them the ideal choice to lead the Maltby team to a successful outcome. This project has realised the ambition of the Trust and provided a community facility that will bring education, employment and training together under one roof.

We have not only used Cube for our business process review, we have also asked them to share their knowledge and experience to support our internal teams on complex, business critical projects. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Cube has talent for making connections and bringing people together to create opportunities.

Cube has brought a professional level alternative to embedding a business development skill set here at EDGE, that has already brought us valuable results.

Through an established network of contacts, Cube was able to quickly identify the areas where we had significant crossovers in our sector expertise. Nicola coached the team to capitalise on these opportunities and to highlight new avenues for marketing based on our relevant skills, objectives and people focused approach.

Cube has been fundamental in providing the guidance and advice needed to get our tender submissions to the highest standard which has ultimately led to successful appointments.

Cube have continued to work seamlessly with the team at various stages in the build process on high profile projects, providing objective assessments for their effective delivery.

Cube consulted openly with our teams’ leaders to identify the process requirements that best suited our business model. The process has resulted in our teams having one clear and identifiable management system. The benefits are visible from our preconstruction process through to project delivery.

Following Cube’s recommendations, we were able to avoid project challenges and proactively implement positive change measures within our team to deliver a success outcome for our client.
