Cube Builds A Home At Works Social

Contemporary coworking hub, Works Social, in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market is the new home for Cube Construction Consultants as it embarks on its next chapter of growth.

Independent consultants in their own right, Nicola Slater and Mark Johnston joined forces to create Cube Construction Consultants in 2019, following varied careers in the property and construction industry. After more than a year working from home offices, they decided to take up dedicated desk space at Works Social.

As Nicola Slater, Consultant at Cube describes: “We’d been looking for a suitable spot for some time and when we saw what Works Social had to offer it was the perfect place. Being right in the heart of the city centre means we are close to our Nottingham contacts and clients, such as EDGE Property Solutions and GT3 and we are in easy access of the station to visit those further afield. Plus, being part of a vibrant community it’s a great place to connect with other members, as well as have meeting space to bring clients and contacts to.”

Cube is a positive, proactive, solution focussed consultancy to construction professionals, investors and developers and project partners. Passionate about the built environment, the Cube team is motivated to develop working relationships where honesty and integrity encourage best practice to improve outcomes.

With complementary skills covering construction expertise, strategic business growth, project partnerships and training and development, Cube solves problems and creates opportunities for its construction clients. Flexible and dynamic, Cube is able to slot seamlessly into client teams, supporting on projects or within a business where there might be a resource or skills gap.

“Being in a coworking environment like Works Social is great for us. We are all about building relationships and collaborating on projects. We’ve already worked on some projects with people in the building and we’ve been able to make some new connections to help us grow our business further,” adds Nicola.”We’re really looking forward to seeing how we can develop from here.”

Works Social has been bringing a new, fresh and inspiring environment to coworking and collaboration since April 2019. Its ethos to facilitate connections, build communities of interest and act as a hub for sharing resources, ideas and talent has been gaining momentum since it opened, as co-founder Han van Oudheusden explains:

“With potential for 40 dedicated desks and a range of virtual membership and hot-desking options, our cost effective office and meeting facilities really suit remote workers, sole traders, micro businesses and small teams like Cube.

“Community spirit underpins our core ethos. We’re all about promoting ideas, enterprise and exchange – working amidst a variety of skills, ventures and projects can inspire far more ideas than working in isolation. We’re so happy to welcome Cube into our community as they share our values and really understand the sprit of collaboration.”
